Driver slides on wet pavement, crashes into ravine

A 20-year-old Brown County woman was treated at the scene after the vehicle she was driving slid on wet pavement and crashed into a nearby ravine.

The crash happened at about 7:15 p.m. May 21 on State Road 135 North near Covered Bridge Road.

The driver, Corrie Lookebill, told police she was driving in the curve when she lost control. Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Austin Schonfeld noted that the pavement was wet.

Her Mitsubishi Eclipse crashed into a roadside sign before going off the east side of the road into a ravine, the report states.

Lookebill was checked at the scene by EMS for head pain. Her two passengers did not need medical assistance, the report said.

She was wearing a seat belt. The vehicle was towed.
