Phyllis Bond

Phyllis Ann Bond, 73, of Nashville, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 4, 2018.

Phyllis was born July 26, 1944 and lived in Brown County all her life. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Walter and Mary Ellen (Deckard) Bond.

Phyllis was one of the founding members of the Brown County Chapter of Tri Kappa which began in 1975. She was a member of Bible Study Fellowship and Nashville Christian Church. Phyllis was a bookkeeper for several area businesses. She began her career at Brown County State Park as a teenager, Graves Nursery, Ellis Floral and Brown County Habitat for Humanity.

Phyllis is survived by three brothers and one sister, Joseph Paul (Marilyn) Bond, David Dale (Lucille) Bond, Mary Faith (Jerry) Floyd and James F. (Linda) Bond; seven nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and nephews.

Friends called May 7, and the funeral service — officiated by Pastors Patrick Glasser and Kendall Yaeton — was May 8, all at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville.
Burial was in Hickory Hills (Bond) Cemetery, Nashville.
