Volunteer firefighters conduct training burn

Volunteer firefighters from Brown and Bartholomew counties gathered in April to train on a live house burn in Brown County. Planned house burns allow firefighters the opportunity to build skills for what they would do in an actual fire emergency, but without worrying about the damage being done to the property, as the house was going to come down anyway. Members from Brown County (Nashville), Fruitdale, Hamblen and Harrison Township volunteer fire departments participated, said Hamblen Fire Capt. Justin Griffith.
