Visit from probation results in charges

A local man faces two misdemeanors in Brown County after police say they found marijuana and paraphernalia in his home during a probation home visit.

Charges were filed against Dylan J. Hadley, 24, on April 25 after Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht visited his home to assist his probation officer.

Upon entering the residence, Eggebrecht reported smelling marijuana. When asked about it, Hadley said he didn’t think he had any marijuana left because he smoked it, the affidavit said.

Eggebrecht and the probation officer searched his bedroom, where they reported finding marijuana and heroin paraphernalia, firearms and alcohol, which violated his probation.

The alcohol was poured out and the firearm was given to Hadley’s mother.

Hadley was charged with two misdemeanors for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He missed his initial hearing on May 22, which resulted in the issuance of a warrant and the police report.
