VAN BUREN TWP. — A Brown County man who was involved in a crash on Valley Branch Road May 27 has been charged with misdemeanor drunken driving.
Joseph L. Steele, 41, admitted to driving the vehicle which crashed just after 2:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of Valley Branch Road, according to a report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Eggebrecht.
Eggebrecht reported that Steele’s speech was “unorganized,” that his eyes were glassy and his balance was unsteady. A breath test showed his blood-alcohol content to be 0.13, over the legal limit of 0.08.
Steele was charged May 31 with three misdemeanors for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
