Attn: Brown County taxpayers: County Council issues $2,000,000 in bonds

NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS  REGARDING DETERMINATION TO ISSUE BONDS OF BROWN COUNTY, INDIANA

The taxpayers of Brown County, Indiana (the “County”), are hereby given notice that the Brown County Council, at its meeting held July 16, 2018, determined to issue general obligation bonds in an original aggregate principal amount not to exceed $2,000,000 (the “Bonds”).  The proceeds of the Bonds will be used to finance the costs of capital projects in the County, and to pay related and incidental expenses to be incurred in connection therewith and on account of the issuance of the Bonds.

The proposed Bonds will have a maximum term ending no later than January 1, 2025, and will bear interest at a rate or rates not exceeding 5.00% per annum.  The Bonds will be payable from ad valorem taxes levied on all taxable property in the County.
