Phyllis Kay Woods

Phyllis Kay Woods, 81, of Nashville, died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018 in I.U. Health Hospice House.

She was born Sept. 25, 1936 in Indianapolis to William C. Robertson and Ruth M. Spilker Robertson.

She was retired from NSWC Crane.

Survivors include her children, Shirley Walls of Nashville, Carole (Rod) Parker of Franklin, Darla (John) Gartner of Trafalgar, and David (Cyndi) Woods of Nashville; daughter-in-law, Tammy Woods of West Virginia; two brothers, William (Eileen) Robertson of Columbus and Robert (Jeanettee) Robertson of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jackie D. Woods; a son, Allen D. Woods; and a granddaughter, Natalie Woods.

She was a member of Bucks and Does Square Dance Club; she enjoyed spending time with her family, playing euchre at the senior center and making crafts.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North with Nick Keller officiating. Burial will be in Brown County Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 in the funeral home and from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday.
