MARTINSVILLE
Judy Ann (Piper) Napier, 66, of Martinsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at IU Bloomington Hospital. She was born July 13, 1952, in Indianapolis to Glenden R. and Shirley E. (Downing) Piper.
Judy lived most of her life with family in Indianapolis before moving to Martinsville. She met and later married her husband, James C. Napier, on Feb. 16, 1968. He preceded her in death in November 2012.
Judy was a QMA, working in the nursing field at various nursing homes in the Indianapolis area. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and later enjoyed working puzzles, gardening, video games, reading her Bible and visiting friends on Facebook.
Judy was survived by her two daughters, Patricia and Linda Napier; and a son,Gregory Livingston. She had eight grandchildren, Loney, Lesley, Ashlie, Robert, Thomas, Alicia, Brittany and James; as well as 16 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by her siblings, Nancy (John) Livingston and Earl (Anna) Piper, both of Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Stephen P. Downing.
Honoring Judy’s wishes, cremation without services has been selected. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Brown County Memorial Park in Nashville.
Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville was entrusted with arrangements.
