Local woman taken to hospital after crash

A local woman was taken to the hospital on May 5 after the van she was driving was rear-ended on State Road 135 North.

Paul Bailey, 57, of Morgantown, told police he was driving north on 135 near Covered Bridge Road when the minivan in front of him stopped suddenly, according to an accident report by Nashville Police Officer Brenton Barrow.

The driver of the minivan, Jacque Grimes, 38, of Spearsville Road, told police the vehicle in front of her had stopped suddenly as well. She was able to stop, but then her vehicle was rear-ended, the report states.

Grimes complained of pain in her back, neck and leg. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Bailey was released from the scene with no complaints of pain.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
