Keep Brown County Beautiful had planned for a countywide cleanup in honor of Earth Day on April 22. But in consideration of coronavirus safety issues, it had to be postponed, like so many other community functions.

That did not stop some Brown County teenagers from finding a way to help.

Following guidelines for group size and social distancing, they were able to put together a “work party” to clean up a particularly littered area of Spearsville Road near Bean Blossom.

“Our community is so blessed to have young people with such a heart for service,” said group supervisor Keith Baker, who sits on the Keep Brown County Beautiful committee.

Participants were Lilly Voils, Tanner Bowman, Dawson Lambert, Carter Condon, Sophia Gordon, Kendra Earnshaw and Emily Earnshaw. Teacher and reserve deputy Dean Keefauver and parent Dustie Condon also supervised.
