All year, you see volunteer firefighters throughout the community filling different, and important, roles.
You may see them in the grandstand at the county fair ready to respond to any injury or crash. Or maybe collecting donations by selling meals or hosting events for the community. If you have been in an accident in Brown County most likely volunteer firefighters were there treating the wounded or cleaning up debris from the wreck.
If your home catches fire, they will be there battling the blaze.
They do all of this, and more, for free.
Would you like to join them? Are there ways you could help? Do you want to donate to the departments? Here’s how to connect with your local firefighters.
