Friends of Library trip to IU set July 11

The Board of the Friends of the Brown County Public Library has been hard at work planning a series of trips and tours as a benefit to their members. The first of these events will be an Indiana University Treasures Tour on Tuesday, July 11. Friends members will meet at the Brown County Library to carpool to Bloomington for a guided tour of the Lilly Library, after which there will be a break for lunch at the IU Memorial Union. The tour will continue after lunch at the Eskenazi Museum of Art with a guided tour of the Gustave Baumann art collection.

Admission for the IU Treasures Tour is free for all current Friends of the Library members. Simply RSVP online at BrownCountyLibrary.info/friends or by calling the Library at 812.988.2850.

The Friends of the Brown County Public Library is a non-profit organization that raises funds to benefit the growing needs of the Library. Funds raised through Friends membership dues, book sales and donations directly support many of the library’s programs and activities.

Trips like the IU Treasures Tour have been organized as a “thank you” to our members for their support and dedication. If you are interested in joining the Friends and helping further the mission of promoting our Library as an essential institution of Brown County visit BrownCountyLibrary.info/friends or ask at the desk the next time you are in the Library.
