OCRA announces regional meetings across state, Nashville included; Meetings to highlight regional successes and opportunities for collaboration

The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs recently announced it will hold six meetings around the state in July and August, including one right here in Nashville. OCRA in YOUR Region meetings are open to both community members and leaders. The events will highlight regional successes as well as opportunities for collaboration between Hoosier communities and OCRA.

The Nashville meeting will take place Aug. 15 in Melodeon Hall in the Abe Martin Lodge at Brown County State Park. The other locations are Delphi, Columbia City, Lawrence, Marshall and Huntingburg. Each one will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with doors opening at 12:15 p.m. Additional information can be found at www.in.gov/ocra/additional-resources/regional-conferences.

Session topics will include community successes in the region, OCRA programming and how it can help a community, as well as the opportunity to network with fellow community leaders. Additionally, there will be a panel of community leaders to discuss best practices for collaboration that contributed to their city or town’s success. The keynote speaker for all locations will be the Sullivan Mayor Clint Lamb.
