Brown County Bikes represents Indiana on Google’s Economic Impact Report

Put your hands up for Indiana’s recognized business on Google’s 2023 Economic Impact Report, Brown County Bikes.

Brown County Bikes has been chosen by Google to represent the state of Indiana on Google’s 2023 Economic Impact Report.

“We were really excited,” Co-owner Danielle Wolter Nolan said. “This is a big deal. The fact that they found us and picked us to represent the whole state for the entire year. They only pick one business to represent each state per year.”

Wolter Nolan said that they were very surprised when they were chosen because they are a new business and opened in 2020.

Google’s Economic Impact Report breaks down the search engine’s impact on businesses in every state.

Wolter Nolan said that they use Google for their business’ email, profile, analytics and advertising. She said that around 80% of their advertising comes from utilizing Google.

“With attracting new customers, our Google page and advertising has been a new way customers have found us. I put money into Google because Google is the number one search engine and they own Youtube, the number two search engine. They are a strong company that has influence,” Wolter Nolan said.

Nolan said they were contacted by a representative from Google who told them that they were being considered for the recognition. The representative told them that they search for businesses in each state and take the top search results into consideration. They found Brown County Bikes through a search of Indiana and ultimately chose them.

“I hope it will help grow our business and this area for people in Indiana and outside,” Wolter Nolan said. “We are hoping it will bring more attention to Brown County and encourage customers to write Google reviews. We have the best customers and are very lucky. We are personally very honored to represent especially Nashville and Brown County. We love living here, and bikes and getting more people on bikes. Healthy living is what we are all about. We want to empower people to live a healthy life, if through biking that’s great, if not just by getting outside. We are very involved in the community, we have children and want to make more fun things for families to do.”

Wolter Nolan said that they currently have two matching grants, one with the Community Foundation in hopes of building a pump track at Deer Run Park. She said it is another way that Brown County Bikes hopes to create more fun family-friendly activities.
