Come Meet the Candidates

League of Women Voters Brown County is sponsoring several opportunities for voters to Meet the Candidates.

Come to the in person events and join us on zoom to hear directly from candidates about issues important to you.

Saturday, Sept. 21 in the Salmon Room of the County Office Building, 201 Locust Lane in Nashville.

  • 10 a.m.: Brown County Commissioner Candidate Forum
  • 11 a.m.: All-Candidate Meet and Greet

Saturday, Sept. 28, via Zoom

Thursday, Oct. 3 in the Salmon Room of the County Office Building, 201 Locust Lane in Nashville.

  • 6 p.m.: Brown County Surveyor Candidate Forum
  • 7 p.m.: All-Candidate Meet and Greet

PUBLIC ELECTION EQUIPMENT TEST

Oct. 1, 2 p.m. in the Salmon Room of the County Office Building, 201 Locust Lane in Nashville.

The Public is invited to observe the Public Test of Election Equipment.

Election equipment is randomly selected according to Indiana state procedures and a test is run to verify accuracy.

And beware of important deadlines:

  • Register to Vote or update your registration by Oct. 7
  • Early in person voting is Oct. 8 to Nov. 4. Log in to Indianavoters.com or the county Clerk’s Election website for dates and hours.
  • Apply for a Mail in Absentee ballot by Oct. 24. And be sure your ballot is returned by 6 pm election day or it won’t count. The post mark doesn’t matter even if it was mailed before election day, it must be received by Nov. 5 6 p.m.
  • Apply for Travel Board if you are homebound or ill so a bipartisan team can bring a ballot to you. Apply by noon Nov. 4. Contact the County Clerk or go on Indiana Voters.com
