Van Buren St.: Five non-critical violations: All staff in food prep areas need head covering — cap, scarf, hairnets or beard net if facial hair present — this includes all staff behind line; cones in holder on counter cannot be accessed without hand contact so a barrier is necessary — gloves to be worn, cones with paper wrap in wall holders are O.K.; coolers have water on the floor; test kit needed for three-compartment sink, suggest labeling sink compartments, all to be corrected now; lighting in cooler and freezer is under 20 foot-candles, reading 5 on scale, repeat violation, to be corrected by Aug. 30. Three non-critical violations: Employee without head covering, repeat violation; employee put on gloves without washing hands, both corrected; a food employee is wearing a bracelet — “an employee shall not wear jewelry on their hands or arms” — a plain band metal ring is acceptable; mops shall be hung or inverted to dry, both to be corrected now.
