Letter: Grant helping to keep Brown County beautiful

To the editor:

Keep Brown County Beautiful Inc. (KBCB) wishes to recognize and thank the Brown County Community Foundation for its grant of $5,000. These funds will be used by KBCB exclusively for cleaning up litter in our county. We appreciate the foundation’s support for our litter pickup projects and its confidence in our work.

Litter continues to be a persistent problem in Brown County. This weekend our crews will be working on roads in northern Hamblen Township. The crew will continue to work for the next several weekends on various areas around the county. We continue to average five, 55-gallon bags per mile of road, both sides.

The mission of Keep Brown County Beautiful is to educate, to increase recycling and end littering in our community, and to beautify our environment. If you wish to help with our efforts or learn more, please e-mail us at [email protected]; write to us at KBCB Inc. P.O. Box 115, Nashville, IN 47448. Or you can connect with us on Facebook.
