To the editor:

Brown County merchants, residents and over 80 volunteers welcomed attendees to the 10th annual Brown County Humane Society Chocolate Walk on Saturday, Nov. 11.

It was a beautiful, although somewhat crisp, autumn day for our attendees and their families and pets. Thirty-three shops, restaurants and galleries participated and greeted people with all varieties of chocolate treats. We thank all of our participants, the attendees and our tireless volunteers for their continuing support for our animal shelter. All proceeds from this event go directly to help our homeless pets and our success is due to your generous gifts and commitment to this organization.

We extend a sincere thank you to our sponsors: A&R Storage, Brown County Inn, Curry Auto Center, Ice Cream Cottage, J.B. Goods, Jones Law Office, Nashville Spice Company, New Leaf, RE/MAX Team Brown County Property Management, Seward Party Rentals and our media sponsor WKKG 101.5.

In celebration of our 10th Anniversary of the Chocolate Walk we are pleased to announce the winners of the 3 new categories of the People’s Choice Awards:

TASTE: Chocolate Moose

CREATIVITY: Sweetea’s Tea Shop

PRESENTATION: Touch of Silver, Gold and Old

Congratulations and a resounding thank you to the above shops for their outstanding efforts on behalf of this important fundraiser.

Lastly a huge thank you to our faithful Chocolate Walk followers. The 11th Annual Chocolate Walk will be November 10th, 2018, Mark your calendars!
