Letter: Brown County Recycle Center discontinuing Saturday hours

To the editor:

Effective Saturday, March 30, the Recycle Center will no longer have Saturday morning drive-thru hours.

The traffic here on Saturday mornings has decreased significantly over the past several years, and it has become a burdensome expense to continue staffing. We hope everyone please understands.

The regular weekday hours of Tuesday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will still be in effect.

Also, all prior scheduled special events, such as electronics, tires, shredding and DEA Drug Take-back will still be held on Saturday mornings.

Phil Stephens, director, Brown County Solid Waste Management District
