Letter: Thanks, foundation, for new sound system

To the editor:

The whole community benefited from the recent competitive grant-giving which was administered by our Brown County Community Foundation. So many wonderful local projects are going forth because of the generosity of local individuals and businesses, corporations and foundations. This money is all used for our own citizenry.

We particularly want to thank the BCCF for granting money for a new wonderful sound system for use by the community. The initial need was for the production of the third annual Pavilion Music Series. This year, the music will play most early Saturday evenings in the pavilion on Nashville’s Village Green throughout September and October. The bands will be better heard than ever before.

The BETA teens and other volunteers are helping the bands set up our new system. Brozinni’s Pizza will provide lawn-chair seating for your comfort. The Johnson Foundation helps with the cost of hiring the bands. All, locals and tourists, are encouraged to stop by to relax and appreciate to our home Brown County bands. The full sound will be wonderful thanks to the 2018 BCCF grant received.

The Music Pavilion Series schedule is 5 p.m. on Sept. 8, Bluegill and the Slaw; Sept. 22, the Acre Brothers; Sept. 29, Hamilton Creek; Oct. 13, The 1, 4, 5 Band; Oct. 20, Celtica.

Thank you!
