Police say a driver took a curve too wide on Greasy Creek Road and collided with another vehicle head-on, injuring two people on Aug. 19.
Sgt. Scott Bowling with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department reported that just before 2 p.m., Daniel Moats, 29, of St. Mary’s, Kansas, was driving south on Greasy Creek near Forest Fields Drive when he took a curve too wide.
Moats crossed the center line and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Gary Wilkerson, 54, of Noblesville, head-on, the report states.
Wilkerson was taken by ambulance to Columbus Regional Hospital with a complaint of neck pain.
Monica Moats, 23, of St. Mary’s, Kansas, was taken to the hospital with a complaint of chest pain. She was a front seat passenger in Daniel Moats’ car, the report states.
Daniel Moats was not injured.
Everyone was wearing seat belts. Both cars were towed.
