BECKS GROVE — A 30-year-old Brown County man flipped his vehicle on June 25 on Becks Grove Road after he fell asleep while driving home from work.

Robert Nelk was driving south near Mt. Healthy Road after getting off work at 11 p.m. when his vehicle left the west side of the road and struck a tree, according to an accident report by Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Stargell.

After striking the tree, Nelk’s Chrysler Voyager rolled onto its roof in the middle of the road.

Nelk was not wearing a seat belt. He told police he thought he was truck by a speaker box that was sitting in the middle row of his vehicle’s seats, the report states.

The report says that Nelk was stuck under the steering wheel area of the vehicle, but he was able to get out on his own.

He was treated at the scene for a complaint of pain to his entire body.

His vehicle was towed.
