BLOOMINGTON — Lois Deckard Carter will turn 95 on Friday, Oct. 4.
Her children are having a get-together at Buddy Bill’s Bait Barn, 2827 E. Moffett Lane in Bloomington, on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All are welcome to come and say “hi” to her.
Carter was born and raised in Brown County. When her husband died in 2006, she moved to Bloomington with her daughter.
She would like to know how many in Brown County know her father, Raleigh, who taught in the one-room school for more than 40 years.
