By virtue of a certified copy of a decree to me directed from the Clerk of Circuit Court of Brown County, Indiana, in Cause No. 07C01-1903-MF-000104 wherein The Peoples State Bank was Plaintiff, and The Unknown Heirs at Law of Molly E. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE BROWN COUNTY AREA PLAN COMMISSION

Please take notice that the Brown County Area Plan Commission has scheduled a Public hearing to be held on Tuesday September 24, 2019 at 6:00 PM in the Meeting Room, Brown County Government Building , 201 Locust Lane, Nashville Indiana.

The purpose of the hearing shall be to accept public comment on a proposed amendment to  the  definition of “sign” in the  Town of Nashville Zoning Ordinance.  The substance of the amendment would add the words “which identifies an entity by name or representative logo or trademark” to the definition of a sign.   If the amendment were passed only signage that identifies a business or other entity would be limited by the terms and restrictions of the sign ordinance.

Copies of the proposed amendment are available for inspection in the Brown County Area  Planning Office, Brown County Government Building, 201 Locust Lane, Nashville, Indiana, 47448.  Written comments on the proposed amendments may be filed with the Secretary of the Area Plan Commission prior to the hearing and will be considered at the hearing.  Oral comments concerning the proposed amendments will be heard.  The hearing may be continued from time to time.  Following the hearing the Brown County Area Plan Commission may take final action on the amendment and/or on any proposed changes to the amendment and make recommendation to the Nashville Town Council regarding the amendment.  The hearing is open to the public.
