Patsy L. (Zook) Fowler, age 82 passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, Sept. 14, 2019 at The Waters of Martinsville. She was a resident of Mooresville.
Patsy was born Oct. 1, 1936, in Indianapolis, to her parents, the late Roy D. and Mary Ellen (Black) Zook. She was a 1955 graduate of Helmsburg High School and went on to earn her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant and a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Patsy retired in 2010 after 38 devoted years of service at Greenwood Village South where she became family to many of the residents that she cared for throughout the years.
Patsy was proud of her children and their families. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Patsy developed a special bond with her great grandson, Austin. It was no surprise to find Patsy cheering him on for his sports or playing video games with him.
She also enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, watching & feeding the hummingbirds and reading the latest gossip in tabloid magazines. Patsy was a member of the Buck Owens Fan Club and loved listening to his music.
Patsy is survived by her children, Patricia Donahue and Ted Fowler, both of Greenwood; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dennis) Campbell of Camby, Brittany Cornett of Greenwood, Douglas W. (Jackie) Fowler of Bargersville and Christopher (Nichole) Fowler of Morristown; great grandchildren, Austin Pugh, Mackenzie Campbell, Adalyn, Josey and Clarabelle Fowler and Wynonna Cornett.
She was preceded in death by siblings, Morris E. Zook & Helen Harmon; and the father of her children, Joseph O. Fowler who passed away Sept. 8, 1999.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry Street in Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
Memorial contributions may be sent in honor of Patsy to the Morgan County Humane Society, 690 W. Mitchell Ave., Martinsville, IN 46151.

Abigail is a Brown County native dedicated to the community in which she has been raised.
