Pioneer Women

The Pioneer Women’s Club meets each Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Brown County History Center, 90 E. Gould St. Interested women are welcome.

Rotary club

The Brown County Rotary Club will meet at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 at Nashville’s Artists Colony Inn, 105 S. Van Buren St.

Veteran Bible study

The Brown County Veteran’s Chaplain Corps Bible Study for Veterans meets the first Thursday of each month at Veterans Hall, 902 Deer Run Lane, from 9 to 10 a.m. The next meeting will be Oct. 3. For more information, call 317-439-0207.

Cemetery preservation

The Brown County Cemetery Preservation Society meets the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be in the archives room at the Brown County History Center, 90 E. Gould St., Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 4:15 p.m.

The society is a committee of the Peaceful Valley Heritage group. All are welcome.

Peaceful Valley Heritage

Peaceful Valley Heritage Inc., a preservation group, meets the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be at the Brown County Community Foundation building, 209 N. Van Buren St., on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.

Genealogical society

The Brown County Genealogical Society will meet Thursday, Oct. 10 starting at 1 p.m. at the Brown County Public Library, 205 Locust Lane. Member Kathy Evans will speak about “Things You Wish You’d Found,” some unusual sources of genealogical information.

Herb society

The Brown County Herb Society meets the third Monday of each month. The club will meet in the lower level at the Brown County Public Library on Monday, Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. All are welcome to join.
