After serving as the assistant executive director for nearly a year, Hannah Estabrook has officially been named the executive director of the Brown County Playhouse.

Estabrook is a recent graduate from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. Her degree is in arts management, plus a minor in financial literacy from the Kelley School of Business.

She started working as the assistant executive director last May when then-Executive Director Suzannah Zody became ill. Zody passed away last June.

Estabrook also worked as the executive director of One Pulse Entertainment, a company which presents multiple live music shows each year at the 426-seat Playhouse. She had also worked many shows in the Playhouse as a production intern with One Pulse.

“Hannah has done an outstanding job during her short period with the Playhouse and it is now time for her to move to the next act,” said Playhouse board Chairman Bob Kirlin.

As executive director, Estabrook will be responsible for programming, marketing, productions and general theater management.

“I am so fortunate and honored to take on the responsibility of being the executive director of the history Brown County Playhouse. I am elated to present our 2020 events calendar and hope to keep getting to know our outstanding patrons even this year,” Estabrook said in a press release.

“I want to thank the Brown County community for welcoming me with such open arms. I have had such a wonderful experience with the Playhouse. I cannot wait to keep growing and elevating the intimate show experience for all that visit our humble venue.”
