Letter: Help get independent candidate on the ballot

To the editor:

Are you satisfied with Congress? You have the power to change it. Help John Tilford, the INDEPENDENT candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, Indiana 9th District.

Please read www.tilfordforcongress.com. If you like what he says, download and sign a petition form to get John Tilford on the fall ballot. Signing does not obligate you to vote for him.

Tilford accepts no campaign donations and would accept only one half the congressional salary if elected. The remainder would fund two additional staff positions in Indiana.

John was a Marine corporal in Vietnam for18 months; was “by name” requested by the Defense Intelligence Agency for the Global War on Terrorism; was chief, Afghanistan cell for the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and retired as deputy commander of the National Ground Intelligence Center. As civilian, He was a human resources specialist and management analyst for the IRS, Army and Navy.

Tilford was founder and president of Hoosier Honor Flight and took several Brown County WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. without charge. He started helping veterans in 1975 and has never stopped.

I have known John since 1990. He has never disappointed me or anyone I know.
