As you begin to think about your spring garden, you might consider building an elevated rain barrel stand to capture water from your roof. Elevation provides more water pressure for better flow to your garden.
The illustration above shows how to build a stand with inexpensive materials. The funnel would connect to a gutter downspout, and your hose connects to the bottom hole in the barrel lid. For barrels, the Barrel Man Frank Wollam (see below) is a Brown Countian.
