Bill and Ruth Fox are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this week.

William F. Fox and Mary “Ruth” Derringer were married March 30, 1971, in Morgantown by the Rev. Merrill Davis.

Bill served four years in the United States Navy then retired from Cummins after 30 years. Ruth is a homemaker. “They never get to retire!” she said.

The couple has four children: Joe (Shawna McNeil) Fox, David (Denise) Fox, Sarah (Matt) Lowry and Micah (Rebecca) Fox. Grandchildren are Elijah, Brittany, Becki, Nathaniel, Aiden, Samuel and Luna Fox; Nicholas and Caleb Lowry; and Kelani and Lana Vestil.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate at a later date.
