Janet Carol Daum, 81, of Nashville, passed away at 2:08 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at her home.
Janet was born December 2, 1939, in Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth William and Dorothy Scudder Short. On September 7, 1956, she married Donald D. Daum.
Mrs. Daum enjoyed playing card games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church and loved to sing in the church choir. Janet was also in charge of keeping the church archives in order.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Pifer of Nashville, Susan (Duane) Bard of Shelbyville, Judy Daum of Brown County, Steven (Wendy) Daum of Bremerton, Washington; grandchildren, Erin (Jason Sutton) Marshall, Naomi (Dane Drake) Daum, Amanda Bard, Titan Daum; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Drake, Raina Bard, Venessa Drake; Kenneth Robert Short; brother of Portland, Oregon; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald and son-in-law, George Pifer.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Todd Riordan officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. The funeral service may be livestreamed on the church’s Facebook page and masks are optional.
Burial will be at Mount Zion Cemetery in Brown County.
