Patricia Irene “Pat” (Austin) Bond, 88, of Nashville, IN went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 12, 2021. She was born January 21, 1933 in Henryville, IN the daughter of the late Rev. James Monroe Austin and Grace (Hickerson) Austin. Pat married Jack J. Bond on October 14, 1950.
Pat was a member of Nashville Christian Church. She was the former owner of the Village Florist in Nashville, IN. She was a charter member of Psi Iota Xi, a 4-H club leader, member of the Eastern Star, and a former Brown County School Board member. She enjoyed flowers; especially orchids, the Indianapolis Colts, the Cincinnati Reds, and Indiana University Basketball. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Pat is survived by her four daughters, Peggy (Mike) Thompson, Susie (Gary) Owens, Becky Bond, and Cindy (Kevin) Speas; her son, Dr. Jeff (Sarah) Bond; three sister-in-laws, Marilyn Bond, Lois Bond, and Ruth Moore; fourteen grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Thompson, Jr., Greg (Jamie) Thompson, Rebecca (Aaron) Haug, Brayton Thompson, Jamie (Brandy) Owens, Elisabeth (Mike) Trueblood, Josh (Christine) Owens, Todd (Rachel) Speas, Kayla (Josh) Hammaker, Austin (Ali) Speas, Jackson Bond, Kyrstin Bond, Keegan Bond, and Jillian Bond; twenty five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack J. Bond and a grandson, Bryce Andrew Thompson.
Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Nashville Christian Church. Interment will follow at Brown County Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
