Rich, age 59, of Maineville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 20, 2021. He fought a gallant, five year battle after his diagnosis of anaplastic oligodendroglia, a form of brain cancer. He was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, on August 22, 1961. He was a graduate of Brown County High School and Cedarville University. He was a loving husband and father, who will be greatly missed by all who knew this gregarious guy! Rich worked in the insurance business for most of his career. He enjoyed basketball, friends and the Bee Gees. He was very proud of each son as they grew to manhood and started their careers. He loved his church activities and most of all had an undeniable love for and faith in Jesus. Rich grew up in Nashville, Indiana, a little hamlet of around 750 people. Brown County is known for its beautiful fall foliage and artist’s colony. He loved this setting and always enjoyed bringing friends back to his homestead to show off its beauty. Richard and Julie were married for 30 years. Other survivors include sons Jacob (Gianna), David and Tim, siblings Roger (Pat), Carolyn (Drake) Dingeman and Warren (Lynn). Predeceased family includes Rich’s parents, Robert and Frances. A Celebration of Life Service was held at the Village Church in South Lebanon, Ohio on Monday.
