Actor Kevin Costner is bringing his band to perform at the Brown County Music Center in November.

The music center announced last week that Costner & Modern West will perform Tuesday, Nov. 2.

Kevin founded the Americana and rock band in 2007. Their first album, “Untold Truths,” was released the next year and reached No. 61 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.

Singles released from that album include “Superman 14,” “Long Hot Night” and “Backyard.” The band’s second album, “Turn It On,” was followed by a tour through Europe.

The band’s 2012 album, “Famous For Killing Each Other: Music From and Inspired By Hatfields & McCoys,” peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Country Album chart.

Coinciding with Costner’s star turn as John Dutton in the TV Series “Yellowstone,” the band released “Tales from Yellowstone,” a collection of songs written from the perspective of Dutton. Songs from that album were featured on season three of the show.

Tickets went on sale Sept. 10 and are available at browncountymusiccenter.com, ticketmaster.com and at the venue box office.

The box office is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. via outdoor ticketing windows and phone sales at 812-988-5323. The box office is now cashless, and accepts debit and credit cards.

The Brown County Music Center recently announced that for shows in September, all staff and crew must wear a mask.

For patrons, they recommend a face covering anywhere within the venue regardless of vaccination status. That will also change beginning Oct. 3 when patrons must either show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.

The venue will use the Bindle mobile app, which is a virtual wallet for health records, and will require photo ID. A team member will greet patrons before they enter the line or access the box office to check their Bindle Entry Pass.

The venue also recommends staying home if feeling sick.

All staff and crew members will also be required to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 3 in order to work at a show or music center offices.

“Our industry and artists demand a safe environment to perform. As such, it is our duty to ensure the safest possible experience for the artist and our customers,” the BCMC website states.

“This is the only way that shows are going to continue to happen. We realize this may cause inconveniences for individuals, particularly families with kids under the age of 12 or customers who may not be vaccinated due to medical reasons or religious beliefs. We are hopeful that these changes are temporary and will provide updates when we are able to modify these requirements.”
