Nancy Lee Rietman, age 75, of Freetown, Indiana went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
She was born to Norman and Betty (Barry) McConnell on Oct. 14, 1946 in Hammond, Indiana. She was married to George A. Rietman on June 6, 1966, who preceded her in death on April 28, 2021.
She graduated from Morton High School in Hammond. She worked as a secretary in Chicago, Illinois while waiting for her husband to come home from the Vietnam War, and later becoming a nursing home activity director in the DeMotte area.
She enjoyed many hours of gardening and antiquing. Nancy and George operated Blossom Hollow Bed and Breakfast in their early years in Brown County, Indiana. She will be greatly missed.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Heather (Scott) Bernth and four grandchildren: Megan, Nicole, Nolan and George, all of Chesterton, Indiana.
There will be no visitation. A private family burial will be held at Christiansburg Cemetery, Nashville, IN
