ELECTION 2022: Early voting times, Election Day polling places

This is the last week for early voting before Election Day on Nov. 8.

All registered voters are able to vote in person at the Salmon Room at the County Office Building, 201 Locust Lane, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 1 through Nov. 4.

Voters can also vote in the Salmon Room on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to noon.

Voters must bring a photo ID in order to cast a ballot. First time need to verify with the Brown County Clerk’s Office or their voter registration card to see if they need to bring additional documents as proof of residence when they voting in person.

Those living in Nashville town limits should check their ballots to ensure that they receive one with Nashville Town Council candidates listed and are listed in the correct precinct.

On Election Day, Nov. 8, voters can vote in person from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at their designated polling location:

Hamblen 1: Sprunica Baptist Church, 3902 Sprunica Road

Hamblen 2: Hickory Ridge Community Center, 2314 Hickory Ridge Lane

Hamblen 3: Church of the Lakes, 8844 Nineveh Road

Jackson 1 and 2: Fruitdale Volunteer Fire Department, 5200 State Road 135 (Bean Blossom)

Jackson 3 and 4: Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department, 4831 Helmsburg Road

Van Buren: Southern Brown Volunteer Fire Department, 4040 State Road 135 South

Washington 1: The Pentecostals, 60 Mt. Liberty Road (corner of Mt. Liberty and State Road 46 East)

Washington 2: New Life Community Church, 1450 State Road 135 North

Washington 3: Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 1750 State Road 46 East (inside the church, not the Family Life Building)

NOTE: There is no longer a Washington 4 precinct. Beginning with this year’s election, the four voting precincts in Washington Township will be condensed to three with the current Washington 4 being renamed Washington 3. All in-town Nashville voters will cast their vote at the Washington 2 precinct now. Voters should have received notice from the clerk if their poll location changed and where they will vote this primary.

You must go to your polling location. Find your polling location by logging in to your voter portal at IndianaVoters.com or call the Brown County Clerk’s Office at 812-988-5510.

Voted Absentee mail-in ballots must be returned and received by 6 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 8. Ballots may be returned at your polling place on Election Day if it was not mailed. Voters may also surrender their ballot and vote in person with a Photo ID at their designated polling place during voting hours.
