The Rotary Club of Brown County recently completed site preparation for a new playground appropriate for toddler and preschool age students at the Early Education Center on Schoolhouse Lane.
The $6,000 project was financed with a grant from Rotary District 6580 and matched by local club members and funds from the club’s annual “Taste of Art” youth development focused fundraiser.
The Rotary Club Much thanked Wagler Brothers Excavating Company, which dismantled — not demolished — the existing playground equipment for reuse at two local religious organizations, moved a large gazebo for reuse at the school, removed concrete and pea gravel and leveled and seeded the site during two cold days in November.
