On Mother’s Day, May 14, a living tribute was planted off the Salt Creek Trail near the Brown County YMCA in honor of Mary Florence. Mary’s parents and brother, as well as other family members, friends, co-workers and Brown County residents gathered, reaching around 40 total attendees. The tree is a red oak, donated by May’s Greenhouse in Bloomington. Everyone in attendance was also given a lily bulb to plant with their loved ones.
