Smiling faces and wagging tails could be seen in equal number at the 2023 Dawg Gone Walk hosted by the Brown County Humane Society. The event took place on Sunday, May 21 at Deer Run Park in Nashville. A short walk around the park started off the event, followed by judged contests that included best bark, tail wagging, jumping, big dog and little dog competitions. There were also several activity booths for furry attendees, such as the dog tattoo booth, the hog dog bob booth, the doggy masseuse booth and the obstacle course booth. In addition, there were a few food vendors and a voting booth for people use their dollars to vote for their favorite dogs, and all the proceeds went to the Humane Society.
