There are some new yard signs in my neighborhood, “Vote yes, Brown County kids are worth it”. They are a pleasure to see because they champion a vote that is SO important to all of Brown County! Brown County Schools and the students they serve are an essential part of our future.

As one of the old retirees who has moved to Brown County and enjoys living in this unique place, I encourage all residents to vote yes. But as a part of this Brown County voting group, I hope you too will recognize the significance of this referendum not only for the schools but for the future of the County. Having good schools with caring teachers are important factors when a family is considering where to live and raise their children. Even though we may not have children or grandchildren in this school system, we may have them in other communities where other retirees are paying to make those schools better.

Please vote and vote YES on May 7 school referendum. “Brown County kids are worth it.”
