Sandie Jones that Town of Nashville Manager told the Democrat that she spoke with the superintendent of the construction crew responsible for the stop light project at the intersection of State Roads 46 and 135.

“They plan to asphalt the two yield lanes in the morning (yesterday) and have all of their equipment pulled out of that intersection by Friday,” Jones said. She added, “In spite of our April showers they are still able to get this done! The construction company has been great in communicating and understanding the significance of how this project impacts our residents and visitors. They will return on April 10th to get the rest of the work done in this intersection.”

Jones also told the Democrat that in addition to the three public restrooms, the town will have 20 portable restrooms installed by today. They will be located near two of the public parking lots in town, the Washington Street and Pat Reilly parking lots.

“Please note, the Town is not charging for parking in these lots,” Jones said. “However, the Rotary has been given permission to put donation boxes in these locations. Rotary will donate those funds to various organizations and entities in Brown County. If your employees need a parking spot get to one of these locations early in the day. No overnight parking will be allowed.”

Jones said that she will be around town during the weekend and monday and encourages people to call or text her at (812) 320-4275 with any questions.

“Thank you all for making this historic Eclipse Weekend awesome!” Jones said.
