MORGANTOWN, IN.

Alvin Lee Lambert Sr., 79 of Morgantown, IN passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born February 18, 1945, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ralph Lambert and Francis (Stadom) Lambert. He had worked for Taggert Sawmill in Gatesville for 17 years. Alvin also owned and operated Lambert’s Junkyard in Gatesville for many years.

He was a member of the Neighborhood Church of God in Sweetwater. He was one of the original founders of the Hamblen Township Volunteer Fire Department in Gatesville and had served in the Indiana National Guard.

Surviving is his longtime companion Lisa (Dine) Daniel of Morgantown, IN, sons Alvin Lee Lambert Jr. Gatesville, IN, Randall William Lambert, Robert Clyde Lambert Sr., and Norman DeWayne Lambert (Morgan) all of Morgantown, IN, Dustin Cody Prince (Fantasia) of Bloomington, IN, Dustin’s mother Debbie Lavender of Bloomington, brothers David Lambert of Nineveh, Ronnie Lambert (Peggy) of Bloomington, IN, a sister Christina Nicholas (Steven) of Edinburgh, IN, eight grandchildren Robert Lambert Jr. (Heather) of Columbus, IN, Jonathon Lambert of Nashville, IN, Michelle Lambert of Columbus, IN, Lillie Lambert, Kaylynn Lambert and Layla Lambert all of Martinsville, IN and Jordan Prince of Bloomington, and four great grandchild Raelynn Lambert, Nova Lambert, Cheyenne Lambert and Blaze Lambert, stepdaughters Sheena Ford (Chase Shumway) of Franklin, IN and Julia Berry (Kyle) of Franklin, IN, step grandchildren Atom Ford, Ayden Shumway, Zachary Bray, Haylie Bray, Kaylie Bray and James Bray, a sister-in-law Ethel Lambert of Edinburgh, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, former spouse Linda Bolton, a daughter Melinda Lambert, brothers Larry Lambert and Jimmy Lambert, a sister-in-law Goldie Lambert, daughter-in-law Misty Lambert, mother-in-law Dorothy Dine and an Uncle John Bell Lambert.

A service will be conducted on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 12 Noon at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin and will be live-streamed at www.swartzmortuary.com/obituary/alvinlambert. Friends may call Friday, October 4, 2024, from 10AM until service time at the mortuary. Burial will be in Taggert Cemetery in Gatesville, Brown County, IN.
