Letter: Someone needs to deal with persistent dog problem

To the editor:

Apparently our county officials encourage taxpaying citizens to turn the other cheek when their peace and security at home and hearth are repeatedly violated.

I am referencing the years of problems on Cardinal Lane where up to 10 dogs are living in a single-family home. They are occasionally let out on leash, but frequently they escape, threaten and attack neighbors. The dogs’ incessant barking at all hours, and the risk of being outdoors in the vicinity, has everyone living nearby feeling frustration and fear.

Officials have been to the site and issued citations that go unpaid. It is an outrage for the animals and the community at risk.

Maybe The Democrat could shine a light on this problem.
