Letter: Attend community foundation’s annual report virtually

To the editor:

The Brown County Community Foundation’s Annual Report to the community will be a little different this year. Streaming from Rainwater Studios on YouTube and Facebook on June 25 at 7p.m., it will be an evening of local music performances, video testimonials, special announcements, and a great night of philanthropy in Brown County.

We have a great lineup of performers including Rev. Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Rich Hardesty, and Heather and Barry Elkins.

The event will be streamed live on the Foundation’s social media channels including Facebook and YouTube. You can find links to the event on browncountygives.com.

The foundation is encouraging you to support local for this event. Please consider getting some takeout from a local restaurant and settling in for a meaningful event.

From our annual volunteer of the year to the prestigious John D. Rudd Award, we will be sharing stories of impact from right here in Brown County.

These stories will also include updates about our Rapid Response Fund and COVID-19 assistance programs. We want Brown Countians to know of the resources available to help residents, business owners, and nonprofits as we recover from the pandemic.

Viewers will also have a chance to donate to the Foundation during the live event.

We are grateful for our sponsors of this exciting event, The Mason Companies, investment advisory services, Blue and Co. accounting, tax, and consulting firm, and Centra Credit Union. With their assistance, we were able to transform an intimate gathering into a live event accessible by so many more!

We hope that the event will provide a little hope and inspiration as you hear about service to our county, organizations working hard to improve our county, and enjoy inspirational songs from local favorites from our county. We know we are Stronger Together with local impact and local support.

The Brown County Community Foundation has the best interests of the community at heart. By supporting charitable organizations in broad areas of community need — education, social services, health care, arts and humanities, and environment — we help build a stronger, healthier Brown County.
