To the editor:
On behalf of Brown County Schools, the school nurses for Brown County Schools, Sherri Rice and Holly Gordon, would like to once again thank the volunteers with the Brown County Lions Club for assisting in the vision screenings of our kindergarten, third-, fifth- and eighth-grade students. They screened approximately 458 students over the course of several days among five schools, giving over 85 hours their time and talent so freely.
A special thanks to Gene Niednagel, who coordinates the vision screenings each year.
Brown County is truly blessed to have such an organization in its community who gives so much back to its citizens.
