Helmsburg Elementary students and staff donned poodle skirts and rolled up their cuffs at a 1950s-themed party to celebrate Principal Kelli Bruner’s 50th birthday on March 1.
Kids learned to hand jive, sipped on malts, went bowling and had hula-hoop contests in the gym, and some took pictures with their classes in front of a ’50s diner backdrop.
