One race to unite them all: Community Pinewood Derby

More than 100 cars built by Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, siblings, friends, parents and nostalgic community members raced in the first Community Pinewood Derby on March 9.

This was the biggest Pinewood Derby that anyone could remember, as it’s normally only open to Cub Scouts. This year, the decision was made to allow anyone, Scout or not, to build, decorate and race a wooden car down the metal track set up in the gym at Brown County Junior High School.
