Letter: Suggestion for town park from frequent visitors

To the editor:

We are “outsiders.” Yes we know what an “outsider” is. Having made that admission, we are avid and very frequent visitors to Brown County/Nashville, Indiana.

We just read the story behind town’s new park which is in progress. Fantastic idea for public use of a piece of historical property in Nashville. The story of “Bummer” and the Liar’s Bench is a fun read.

The article mentions that the committee in charge has discussed dismantling the cabin on the property and repurposing it as a shelterhouse on the site. We hope they will reconsider that idea, keeping the cabin on its corner. Build a new shelterhouse, but save the history of the cabin.

Jes’ sayin’…
