Writer has different political idea

We need to do better for our children Part 2

If you didn’t watch the debate, you at least heard about it. I began to watch it but after hearing the rules that mics would be turned off between answers, I declined. Of course, I read the aftermath.

Really? America, what are we doing to ourselves? I keep waiting for the tide to turn, for civility and respect of fellow man to find its place again in the public discourse. When did “love your neighbor as yourself” become so irrelevant and is this the America we want to hand our kids? I don’t. I want an America that observes the inherent dignity of all men and women.

It matters that our leaders are people of character and capacity. Every before and after picture of a president is stark and the office is very demanding. Where is the next generation of leaders who truly desire to serve this country and not just make a name for themselves?

I have been voting for years against a candidate rather than for a candidate. That is unfortunate but this year I am simply afraid of all potential outcomes. So I have a plan. I will be writing in “Julie Andrews for Queen.” I know she can’t be president because she was not born in America, but we could really use a Queen for 4 years to teach us how to be civil again. We can and must do better America for our children. Help us Julie Andrews, you’re our only hope! #princessdiaries1&2
