Letter: Garage sale to help Brown County 4-H’ers

To the editor:

It is time again for the Extension Homemakers Garage Sale.

It will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 15 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16.

For a small fee of $20, you can set up your garage sale inside the fairgrounds’ air-conditioned exhibit building. This means people can find you without a GPS!

This fee goes to our 4-H’ers’ camping and educational trips. Many of the kids need assistance to attend camp and they look forward to this summer event.

Booth forms are available at the Brown County Purdue Extension office at the Brown County fairgrounds.

Another way to help is to donate gently used items to the homemakers’ booth. Proceeds go to the camp/trip fund. If your garage sale is over and you have some good stuff left you want to donate, the homemakers would love your leftovers. Call the extension office (812-988-5495) for when and where to drop off. Pickup may be available for some items.
